People & growth

Your best people are busy. Are they doing your most valuable work?

Automation creates an opportunity to redirect human effort. The value comes from what people do with the capacity they recover: care for customers, solve problems, develop services, and lead.

What did you hire your best people to make possible?

Think about the person your customers trust. The one who notices an opportunity, solves a difficult problem, or brings the team together.

How much of their day gives them room to do those things?

We believe that question belongs at the center of your AI conversation. When technology carries more of the repetitive work, you have an opportunity to invest that person’s attention in something more valuable. Together, we want to discover what that could mean for your business.

Start with the contribution you want to grow

Your people already bring abilities that may have little room to develop. Someone has an idea for a service. Someone understands why a customer is drifting away. Someone could be a remarkable mentor if their day left space for it.

We want to hear about those possibilities. Where is your team already creating value? What would you love to see more of? What have you been postponing because everyone is occupied with keeping the business running?

Those answers give automation a purpose. They connect a technical change to the business you want to become.

Make people part of the conversation

If you tell someone that a system can do part of their job, they may wonder where that leaves them. Make room for that question. Ask what they enjoy contributing, what drains their attention, and what they would like to learn.

We explore motivations, working styles, responses to change, and the culture people experience together. The person eager to experiment and the person asking careful questions may each see something the business needs.

Be honest about what is decided and what is still open. Invite the team to shape the change and tell you where support is needed. People deserve a meaningful place in the conversation about their work.

Give the time a destination

Recovered capacity needs somewhere to go. That might mean personal follow-up with customers, developing a new offering, coaching a colleague, or solving a problem that has been tolerated for years.

Choose the activity, give someone responsibility for it, and protect time for it. Otherwise, the next interruption can absorb the space you worked to create.

An illustrative example: if a task takes 10 hours a week and a pilot reduces the full effort to 7, you may have recovered 3 hours. That is capacity you can reinvest. The profit opportunity depends on what happens next, the value created, and the costs involved.

Include oversight, corrections, training, and ongoing costs in the evaluation. Then look at the human and business outcomes: better follow-through, useful ideas tested, customer concerns resolved, and work that moves the business forward.

Ask a bigger question this week

Ask your team: “If we could give you time back, what would you love to make possible for our customers or our business?”

Give people room to think. Explore why their answers matter and what would help them act. You may hear possibilities that would never appear in a conversation focused only on reducing costs.

We believe that is where an important part of the opportunity lives: helping your people create, manage, relate, and invest their attention where it matters most.
